A Unique Bed from France

A Unique Bed from France
Detail: Bed
This unique bed was considered comfortable since the purpose of this bed was so anyone who sleeps on it can have variations on any directions they would like to lie down. When I read this part, I couldn't really picture a person being comfortable in the bed, but a person whose back is aching. The frame on this bed was carved out of wood and layered with gold using the technique of gilding. Before I read anything about this bed, I was thinking, Isn't this just a chair with pillows?  ......I guess I was wrong.

Ancient Civilization Report : Ancient China

200 pages

The Chinese built a very long lasting civilization because it lasted for about 4000 years. They had many great achievements like building the Great Wall, producing silk, etc. Learning about the religions was one of the best part of this report because when we were just doing Cornell notes, we just read it.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
By C.S. Lewis
# of pages: 248

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis is a very interesting book, like the Magician's Nephew. It tells about the adventure of Lucy, Edmund, and Eustace when they supposedly enter a picture of a boat. It's just really great how Eustace starts to adapt to the journey with King Caspian because he never knew about Narnia.

The Year as a 6th grader

The year as a 6th grader will always be in my mind, especially all of the new friends that I made and Ms. Ullner. I had a lot of fun with Ms. Ullner and listening to jazz composers. All the field trips that I have been to, especially camp, was really awesome and cool. I just can't believe that 6th grade at Manchester Gate is going so fast and will end very soon. ;(
