Dragon's Gate
By Laurence Yep
# of pages : 333
(Opinion Blog)

Dragon's Gate by Laurence Yep tells the life of a young boy name Otter. I find this novel heartbreaking because Uncle Foxfire died when he was helping Otter climb a mountain. I feel as if Uncle Foxfire shouldn't have died during this novel. Reading this novel, depressing events happened to otter. For example, Other's adopted dad got blind. It was a truly desperate time. Reading about the coldness, hunger, poverty, and exhaustion they had to endure makes me feel sad for people who worked days and night but not earning very much. Even though life was hard, Otter lived on and endure all the bad things. This shows that he was strong.
(This book was awesome!!!)
